IMPORTANT INFORMATION
-
How do I clean and store fresh mushrooms? Our mushrooms are already clean because they are grown on sawdust in a clean environment, not compost. You can remove the stems if you want, but its not necessary. If the mushrooms grow in clusters, they may have a core that you can remove before cooking. Store mushrooms in the refrigerator in a paper bag on the shelf, not in the crisper. If your mushrooms came in our packaging, then you should remove the plastic on the inside of the lid before storing in the refrigerator. The mushrooms like to breath and condensation will form on the plastic if not removed. Oyster varieties will keep up to 7 days and Shiitake will last up to 10 days.
